In the third chapter, a boy named Tim enters the story. His father — the town sheriff — is gone. His mother too. Both taken by The Tall Man. He didn’t choose this war. He was born into the wreckage of it.
What makes this film memorable isn’t the horror. It’s the people. Ordinary souls caught in something they can’t explain, can’t escape, and can’t win — yet they keep moving. Not out of hope. Out of something quieter than that.
The journey, as always in this world, ends in a painful truth. Not because they failed. Because some things simply cannot be defeated. Only faced.
